Then you should, of course, stick to eating foods that have a low to moderate ranking on the glycemic index. As far as this issue is concerned, there’s so much talk nowadays about how carbohydrates are “evil” and that you should avoid them like the plague. But, remember, this just isn’t the case. You should also remember that not all carbohydrates are created equal. Beyond any doubt you have to pay serious attention to the fact that just for that reason, the glycemic index was created. It’s not a secret that the glycemic index is a ranking system that classifies carbohydrates based on the force they have on blood sugar levels. In short, if we are making a closer investigation of this problem, foods that have a high ranking on the glycemic index cause major fluctuations to your blood sugar levels, which in turn triggers a greater insulin response. As a matter of fact, this is certainly unfavourable as you’re more likely to store fat this way since insulin plays a major role in fat storage.

And finally you should replace all juice and soda with water. We have every reason to believe that this is where so many people make a detrimental mistake. In fact, they do all the right things with regards to their food intake, but then they’ll wash that chicken salad down with a big glass of juice or a can of coke. Don’t you know that a can of soda has about 43 grams of sugar on it (depending on the brand) and that alone is full to sabotage your weight loss efforts? It’s such an easy change to do!. One of the fundamental recommendations for you to know is to substitute the soda & juice for a tall glass of water – your waistline will thank you for it.
